On February 21, 2026, the exhibition "DOMINO β History Is Us" was inaugurated at Palazzo Trinci β Museum of the City of Foligno. This artistic project by Davide Querin is dedicated to the eponymous contemporary polyptych composed of sixteen oil paintings on canvas.
The work, with an overall size of 3 meters by 3 meters, adopts and reinterprets the historical form of the polyptych to construct a visual narrative composed of sixteen autonomous yet interconnected scenes. Arranged in a square structure of four rows by four, the paintings form a collective image in which individual stories interact through visual references, gestures, and narrative continuity.
Installed in the halls of Palazzo Trinci, one of the main historical and museum complexes in Umbria, the polyptych establishes a striking dialogue between contemporary art and historical heritage, offering the public a viewing experience in which each painting constitutes a fragment of a broader narrative.

The title of the exhibition reflects the guiding principle of the entire project: history is not only the story of major events, but the result of the experiences and relationships that connect individuals within a community. From this perspective, DOMINO invites reflection on the relational dimension of existence, suggesting an image of humanity composed of diverse yet deeply interconnected stories.
The inauguration was attended by representatives of institutions and figures from
the cultural sphere.
Among others, curator and art critic Maurizio Coccia, director of Palazzo Lucarini
Contemporary in Trevi, also spoke.
"The work of Querin,β stated Coccia, βis a monumental synthesis of tradition, technology, and allegory. It remarkably succeeds in bringing together both elements of art history and the stimuli of the present, through an extraordinary visual and narrative capacity, in a kind of unstoppable, fluid, cyclical short circuit that, upon closer reflection, is in fact the history not only recent but truly archaic of all humanity. The exhibition was organized with the patronage of the Municipality of Foligno and in collaboration with Cineclub Astr/Azioni.
It is therefore a presence that stands out, both for its capacity to realize and for its ability to evoke themes, subjects, and a distinctly contemporary visual execution."
The presentation of DOMINO in Foligno represents a new stage in the exhibition path of the project, previously presented in Rome at the cultural venue of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic, and confirms institutional interest in a work that combines pictorial research with reflection on the collective dimension of history.
