History is us, said the song, emphasizing that history is the result of all of us and not just of illustrious figures. Within us, whatever generation we belong to, there is an archive of memory, a secret place, distant in time, which passes through distant sensations, forgotten feelings and thoughts. The search for one's identity through the exploration of subtle and remote worlds, to be evoked within oneself and in the places of the soul.

Based on these assumptions, the idea was born to paint a large polyptych that would encompass all of this. An invitation to contemplation and imagination, which, beyond a personal quest, would allow each viewer to find their own stories in every room, face, and time.

The use of transparencies, present for years in Davide Querin's painting, has helped the artist to make feelings, thoughts, and memories that would otherwise be invisible become real. In each of the sixteen paintings in this polyptych, nothing is represented as it is in reality, neither people nor things; everything is metaphysical matter and a dreamlike dimension. The interiors merge with the exteriors, the conscious with the unconscious, the real with the symbolic, in dimensions where time and geographical distances do not exist.

The polyptych, called "Domino", measures 3 meters by 3 meters and consists of 16 paintings, arranged in four rows of four. The composition of each painting continues in the neighboring ones, next to, above, and below. No element in the paintings is random, and each painting, separate from the others, has its own composition.

Domino, whose emblematic name emphasizes the connection that exists between each of us through our own history, is an exhibition project with great visual impact, capable of providing an effective representation of the assumptions that underlie identity relationships.

Domino was recently exhibited with great success in Rome, in Via Veneto, at the cultural headquarters of the Argentine Embassy in Italy, in the presence of the Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs, Diana Mondino, senior officials from the Argentine Consulate in Rome, members of parliament, ambassadors, and representatives of the Argentine Embassy to the FAO and the Holy See.

Domino was also given an entire page on "Borghi Magazine", Italy's Most Beautiful Villages, with an article about the exhibition and its references to Umbria and the town of Trevi, with which the artist has a vivid affiliation.
